Moore Scores Twice as Men's Soccer Defeats Mary Washington 2-1

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Steven Moore tallied twice in the second half as the Berry College men's soccer team defeated the University of Mary Washington, 2-1, on Sunday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

  • Mary Washington's Riley Fisher opened the second half scoring in the 52nd minute, pushing the score to 1-0.
  • Moore then scored twice within the final 30 minutes to ensure the Vikings' victory.
  • Mary Washington led the game in shots (13-6) and corner kicks (10-2).

  • Dale Stones: 1 assist

Berry will host Emory University in their first home game of the season on Friday, Sept. 16th at 7 p.m. The game is Pack the House for the men's soccer team and will be the first match under the lights for the Vikings.
