WHO WE ARE
The men’s soccer program at Berry College has a long history of success and attracts student-athletes who are serious about setting high standards on and off the field. We are looking for players who have a high level of technical, tactical, and athletic ability. Beyond those obvious traits, it is very important that our recruits show hunger, leadership, and a maturity level to handle the high expectations of the program.
A GREAT LEVEL OF WORK AND PLAY
We travel the region and the country playing a very competitive schedule against the best teams. We strive to provide a great experience for the team on and off the field. The expectation from our students-athletes is that they help create this experience by being very intentional about being part of the team concept. Being successful at Berry means working hard. Individuals will be challenged over 4 years and will benefit by pushing themselves and getting involved in many different areas of campus life.
THE RECRUITING PROCESS
The team is formed through the recruiting process as opposed to open tryouts when school starts. Therefore, it is important for interested high school student-athletes to understand both the process and the timing. We need to see you play and though good communication we will have more opportunities to see you, get to know you, and make sure that you are a good fit for us and we are a good fit for you.
The following are some steps you can take to help in the recruiting process:
1. Contact Us: Fill out our
online recruiting form so we will have your information. Then follow up with a personal e-mail to our coaching staff.

2.
Come to Camp: We hold at least a couple of one day ID camps at Berry each year which are a great way to be seen by the coaching staff but also to see the school and our program up close. Our residential summer camp for high school aged athletes is also a good option.
Details can found at the Berry Vikings camp page.
3.
Send us Highlights: Although we don't typically offer spots based on video alone, it is a great starting place for the recruiting process.
4.
Send us your Schedule: We love watching athletes in their own environment and welcome the opportunity to watch you play. We attend mainly club showcases and tournaments each year but also some high school games.
5.
Visit Campus: Get a campus tour, meet with Admissions, and spend time with the coaching staff and current players. You can learn more about our Admissions process by visiting Berry’s admissions department webpage:

6.
Come to a Game: It is of great benefit for you to see us play and get a first hand look at the level of play, the team's style, and the atmosphere surrounding a game.
TIMING
Each recruits timeline is different and we discover great recruits at all stages of the process. Typically though we spend the fall, spring, and summer of a player's sophomore and junior years identifying and evaluating players who we think would be an excellent fit for Berry - socially, academically, and athletically.
