ATLANTA - The Vikings finished their last day of the Emory Thrills in the Hills and Multis this evening with more PR's and a standout performance by
Onoyeme Egure.
Women's Highlights:
-Sinclaire Denney and
Isabella Tedesco finished second and third, respectively in the 10k with times of 42:33.59 and 44:13.43
-In the javelin,
Sadie Phillips threw a PR of 35.42m for fourth and teammate
Cortney Brown took third with a throw of 35.56m
-All three Berry runners in the 1500m (
Emma Lambert, Ree Zoller, and
Kaitlyn Frankman) all had PR's running 5:12.50, 5:35.44, and 5:38.73
-
Anna Rose had another standout day, this time in the 800m improving her PR and school record to 2:13.45 with a fifth place finish
-In the pole vault,
Madeline Hubbert and
Emilee Easley went fifth and eighth with season bests of 3.30m and 3.15m
-Out of 38 contestants, indoor All-American
Onoyeme Egure took first in the shot put at 13.69m
Men's Highlights:
-
Owen Gagnon, a freshman, took third in the 10k (35:01.95)
-In the 1500m
Brooks Johnson,
Joey Kowalczewski,
Gianpaolo Longo,
Ciaran Greer and Nico Klementzos all had PR's in the race
-Freshman
Corbin Dutcher had a new PR in the 400m at 51.88
-T Harris led the Vikings in the 800m with a 1:56.12
-In the 110H, Marucs Wilson took fourth in the finals with a 15.28
-The team of
Dawson Livingston,
Joseph Rampey, and
Bryson Hill went 8-10-12 out of 37 opponents in the shot put
Outdoor track and field will continue their Atlanta stint next weekend back at Emory for the Emory Twighlight.
