Personal Records Set in Atlanta during Day One of Meet

ATLANTA - Multiple Vikings set PR's today at the Emory Thrills in the Hills Meet and Tucker Wright highlighted the day with a first place finish in the 5000m.

Women's Highlights:

In the 400 Hurdles, Josie Loggins took fifth overall (1:09.61)
SAA Athlete of the Week, Lucy Nicholson beat her own school record again with a new PR in the 200m at 25.35 to win her heat. Julianne Shirley, Macy Murdock, Karli Grill, Olivia Silvers, and Marianna Moell all had great races in the 200m as well with everyone either having a PR or SB
Malysha Winston advanced to the finals of the Hammer and finished fifth overall with her throw of 45.18m
Sydney Howard took third in the open heat of the 5000m (19:54.77)
In the high jump, Kris Williams and Julia Shipes went fourth and fifth with a height of 1.55m
Senior Anna Rose took fifth overall in the 5000m Invitational with anew 36 second PR of 17:39.38 and teammate Anna Ayers finished tenth at 18:04.73

Men's Highlights:

Marcus Wilson finished 8^th in the 400 Hurdles (56.55)
A new lifetime PR came for Jaden Melville in the 200m with a time of 22.58 and teammate Dylan Davis also had a PR of (23.31)
Troy Blackwood shaved four seconds off of his PR in the 1500m (4:03.16)
Senior, Joseph Rampey threw a PR in the hammer in flight one (40.34m)
In the 5000m Gabe McCary took third in the Open heat and had a PR of 16:13.42
Tucker Wright won the 5000m Invitational (14:49.72)
The Vikings' Dawson Livingston took third in the discus (44.81) and took third in the hammer (50.45m)

Track and Field will return to Atlanta tomorrow for the last day of the meet.
