Vikings Wrap Up Samford Multi/Open

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Berry Indoor Track and Field finalized today at the Samford Multi/Open against tough competition.

Both teams competed against Division I programs and had noteworthy highlights.

Women's Highlights:
  • Macy Murdock had a new PR in the Pentathlon with 2778 points, which now sits second in Berry's all-time record.  Her total currently sits ranked #31 in the Nation
  • Malysha Winston, a junior had a PR in the weight throw at 14.06m, finishing 8th overall
  • Kris Williams took 7th overall in the Women's High jump

Men's Highlights:
  • Mason Robinson had a PR in the weight throw at 15.57m and finished 6th in the shot put with a PR of 15.03m
  • Junior Dawson Livingston threw 16.21m in the weight throw for a third place finish
  • Alden McDonald finished in second place finish in the pole vault with a jump of 4.86m.  It is his first competition since having surgery on his wrist last summer after the NCAA Championships. His mark is currently 8th in the Nation
The Vikings will return to action next Saturday, January 25 in Danville, Kentucky for the Centre Indoor Showcase.
