Box Score DECATUR, Ga. -- Berry College won at Agnes Scott College, 59-46, on Wednesday night in a non-conference game. BC improved to 7-6 on the season.
For the second straight game, Megan Walsh was Berry's top scorer. The senior forward recorded 14 points (8-11 free throws) and had a game-bests of 13 rebounds and five steals.
Chanlir Segarra netted 13 points and six assists, and Mel McLean added ten points for the visitors. Freshman Emma Cook contributed 10 rebounds for BC.
The Vikes led 28-22 at halftime. The Scotties--which lost 76-38 at Berry on Nov. 16--were much more competitive on its home floor. ASC held Berry to a season-low 59 points.
"We didn't shoot the ball well tonight, but showed maturity and made big plays down the stretch," said Viking Head Coach Stephanie Dunn. "We played consistent defense and took care of the ball. It was a good road win for us in spite of not shooting well tonight."
The Vikings forced 23 turnovers and committed just 12 miscues. Berry shot 24-percent (16-67) in the game to ASC's 18-54 (33-percent). BC was 22-29 from the free throw line.
Agnes Scott (0-10) was led by Kelcie Evans. She had a game-high 15 points. The Scotties led in rebounds, 50-49.
Berry College returns to Southern Athletic Association action on Saturday at Oglethorpe University.
