Berry Comes up Short at Huntingdon, 15-12

MONTGOMERY, Ala. -- Berry College out-hit Huntingdon, but the Hawks won, 15-12, on Sunday. HC swept three straight games from the Vikings in the series.

Berry fell to 13-17 and Huntindon improved to 20-9.

Dusty Tyson went 4-4 with two runs and one RBI to lead the Viking offense. Ben Jernigan and Alex McGill both had three hits in the game.

Tyler Blackwell was 4-4 with two runs and seven RBI to lead the Huntingdon offense.

The Hawks plated seven runs (five earned) in the first inning to chase Berry starter Ryan O'Connell. The Vikings, however, chipped away at the lead. In the seventh inning, BC scored three times to take an 11-10 lead. 

Huntingdon then scored five runs in the bottom of the inning for the decisive margin. Releiver Danny Parry (4-1) took the loss for the visitors.

Neal Lawler (2-1) tossed the last two frames for HC and notched the win.
