CLINTON, Miss. -- Casey Gray pitched a complete game and allowed no earned runs as Berry College won at Mississippi College, 2-1, on Friday.

The Vikings improved to 2-1 for the season. The Choctaws fell to 0-3.

Gray (1-0) worked all nine innings, allowed four hits, struck out four and walked two. The home club scored an unearned run in the fourth frame to take a 1-0 lead. 

Berry rallied with two runs in the fifth for the decisive tallies. Doug Heath was hit by a pitch to start in inning. Alex McGill (2-4, one run) then singled. Grant Perkins later singled home Heath. McGill scored on base hit by TC Boyd.

The Vikings collected eight hits in the game. Choctaw starter Mack Murray (0-2) took the defeat. He pitched six innings and gave up both BC runs.

The teams play a doubleheader on Saturday starting at 2 p.m. EST.
