GULF SHORES, Ala. - Berry Beach Volleyball finished second at the AVCA Small College Beach Championships this afternoon.

After defeating Hendrix earlier this afternoon to advance to the Championship game, the Vikings hit the beach courts one final time for a rematch against the University of Mary Hardin Baylor. Earlier this season, the Vikings defeated UMHB 3-2 and both teams new this championship would be a true battle. Unfortunately, Berry fell in three, but not before Kaylee Howell and Becky Blaydes claimed All-American honors!

1. Becky Blaydes and Kaylee Howell defeated Avery Evans-Brooks and Hailey Gripka 21-13, 21-17
2. Ailee England and Keira Kruk defeated Mabry Matz and Eliana Oden 21-16, 21-8
3. Kara Schmit and Madie Whitehead defeated Liz Roy and Jaxie Tillman 21-8, 21-17

Results against UMHB:
1. Becky Blaydes and Kaylee Howell fell to Julianna Green and Tasha Thoms 21-18, 21-16
2. Ailee England and Keira Kruk fell to Heidi Farrar and Kelli Northrup 21-13, 21-14
5. Andrea Hurt and Lilly Teagle fell to Kendall Harrington and Aliana Rojas 21-14, 12-15

The Vikings finish the season 28-5 overall, their best record every and their first 20+ win season.
