RICHMOND, Va. - The women's golf team hit the road to Virginia this week to take on top ranked teams in Division III at the Stith Invitational.
Overall, the team finished 15
th after two rounds, with
Sydney Bowes again leading the way.
On day one at The Dominion Golf club, no one was able to break 80 for Berry as Bowes led the way with an 80 (+8) and
Kyra Gravelle,
Amanda Milner, and
Grace Schuh captured the last countable round scores of 84, 88, 91. Together the team shot four birdies, but no one had more than one.
In round two it was Bowes and Gravelle who tied with rounds of 82 (+10) to finish out the day.
Paige Greco hoped in the 80's with her 83 and
Amanda Milner finished the top four with an 89. Again, the team had four birdies with no one exceeding one.Â
This tournament was great for the Vikings as they saw the number one and two team in the country along with nine other top 25 teams.
The team will be back in action at the Greenbrier Invitational next Monday and Tuesday in Buena Vista, Virginia.
