Women's Golf Opens Season at Transylvania Invite

| By:
LEXINGTON, Ky. - On September 7th the Vikings experienced an exciting game of golf from the Berry Women who participated in the Transylvania Invite. Leading the Way for the Vikings was Grace Schuh who shot two over for a 166 over two rounds.

In the first round the Vikings had lead player Amanda Milner showing off her great shooting skills by only hitting a low number of strokes over the par. She already showed this when starting off strong by shooting an even par on her first hole. She continues to perform only slight positive pars, getting in some single bogeys and double bogeys.

As the round continued she started to go up more strokes but still showing off a great performance.

Another honorable mention for the first round was the talented Grace Schuh, who also shows great promise as she is able to strike as little strokes as possible making it into the holes without going over the pars too much.

This first round ended off with the Vikings settling at 53 points.

In the second round Grace Schumer displayed a wonderful performance as she scored with a very low amount of strokes. This means she scored lots of holes without going over the par too much. This is good as she was also able to score two even pars, striking the perfect amount of strokes expected. She continued the second round with a steady rhythm as her par scores remained almost the same, going over slightly but never too much.

Paige Greco also did an excellent job when scoring an even par on her 13th hole.

The second round ended with the Vikings landing a score of 57 points. In total that left the Vikings at 110 points placing 10th out of 12 teams.
