MYRTLE BEACH, SC - A trio of Vikings have made an impact at the 2024 Outdoor Track and Field Championships, representing Berry College well.
On Saturday, junior Jahari Jones competed in his third NCAA Championship. This time he became a First Team All-American with his 8th place finish in the finals of the 200m. On Friday, Jones also competed in the 400m, placing 20th overall. This was his second All-American honor after finishing fifth at last years NCAA Outdoor Championships in the 400m.
Alden McDonald took on Thursday, competing in his third NCAA Championship, but his first Outdoor Championship. He placed 14th in the Men's Pole Vault with a clearance of 4.69m. The mark earned the junior a Second Team All-American honor and his second honor in his career after he placed 8th in the 2024 Indoor Championships.
On the women's side, Macy Murdock showed out as a sophomore for the Vikings. She was competing in her first NCAA Championship in the 400H and finished 15th overall, earning her a Second Team All-American honor.
The Vikings close out their record setting season with both teams earning top two finishes at both the SAA Indoor and Outdoor Championships and the highest number of All-SAA and All-Region honorees in program history.
