Box Score An eight-goal second quarter was a harbinger of things to come in the second half as Berry's men's lacrosse team opened up the home schedule for 2023 with a victory over LaGrange, 19-5, at Valhalla Stadium in Mt. Berry, Ga., Wednesday night.

With the game tied at 1-all after 15 minutes, Berry (1-1) scored a smorgasboard of goals in the second quarter to open up a 9-3 lead at halftime. With reigning Southern Athletic Association Defensive Player of the Week holding down the faceoff X, the Vikings were able to gain possessions right back after scoring their goals to build the lead.

LaGrange would be held to just two goals in the second half, while Berry continued to pour it on against their in-state foes. Berry would lead 14-5 after the third quarter, and then would hold the Panthers scoreless in the final period to seal the win.

Berry will be back in action this Saturday as it takes on Greensboro to wrap up a two-match homestand. Opening faceoff is set for 1 p.m.
