MOUNT BERRY, Ga. – The Vikings Track and Field teams have released their Indoor Schedule for this coming season.

There is a lot to be excited for about this season for the two-time SAA Men's Conference Champions and the Women's team after finishing third with their highest point total at the 2023 Outdoor Championships. This season starts a new chapter for the programs as the Southern Athletic Association will contest it's first Indoor Conference Championships.

"The Indoor season has always served more as a chance for our team to compete while focusing on preparations for the outdoor season" states Head Coach Luke Syverson. "However, this indoor season now has new meaning as we have the opportunity to compete for a conference indoor championship title as well. We return most of our team on both sides and look forward to continuing to improve and get started with our season"

First, the Vikings are in action at the BSC Icebreaker in Birmingham, Alabama this Saturday the 2nd of December to kick off their season with an initial run before returning from the Holiday break.

January is filled with great competition with four appearances at the Crossplex in Birmingham, Alabama as the Men and Women take on the UAB Vulcan Indoor on the 13th of January and Emory on the 14th. Samford is hosting a two-day event, the Samford Multi's, on the 18th and 19th before the Vikings travel to Danville, Kentucky, to compete at the Centre Indoor Showcase on the 20th as a preview of the SAA indoor meet inside their new indoor facility.

To wrap up the new year, Berry will go to Sewanee for a meet on the 27th before entering February back at the Crossplex in Birmingham. The Samford Bulldog Open will be the final meet before the inaugural SAA Indoor Championships that will be held in Danville, Kentucky on February 23rd and 24th.

Top performers will get an opportunity on the NCAA stage at the DIII Indoor Track and Field Championships in Virginia Beach, Virginia on March 8th and 9th.
