MOUNT BERRY, Ga. - No.10-ranked Berry defeated No. 6 Emory, 3-0 (25-11, 25-21, 25-16), on Pack the House night in the Cage Center on Tuesday.

The home team came out swinging with a six-point run to start the match, including a service ace from
Molly Bergin, and kills from three different Vikings in the front row, putting the pressure on the Eagles early. The lead later jumped to 13-2, as Berry was hitting at .556, with Emory swinging at -.353. Peyton Briessinger served up three aces in a row, distancing her team even further at 18-5. Kills by
Emily Rapach and Breissinger ended the set with the Vikings taking a 14-point win.
The second set began at a pace much like the first, as the Vikings took a 8-1 lead, wit five of those points off kills from four different hitters. The Eagles were able to come within three points with the Vikings holding on to set point chances, but
Jazzy Innis ended the second set with a kill for a 25-21 win. Berry (14-3) continued to function as blocking machines, putting up six total blocks in set two.
The Vikings put the Eagles (10-5) away 25-16 in the final set. Emory had its only lead of the night after taking the first point of the set, but after Berry tied the set up one point later, the Vikings would never trail again. The victory came closer by the point after back-to-back Innis kills put the Vikings up 12-6. The offense continued to be relentless in the third set putting up 17 kills. Eventually, a service error on Berry's fourth try at match point gave the Vikings the win.
Innis double-doubled, leading the team in kills with 14 and recording 10 digs. The Vikings totalled 12 total blocks, four coming from
Olivia Mallow.
Emily Rapach set up 31 assists, while
