Memphis, Tenn. – The Berry College volleyball team improved to 6-0 on the season after defeating Rhodes in two sets, 3-0, on Saturday.
In match one, Berry was led by
Olivia Mallow's nine kills and
Laura Beier's 18 digs and defeated Rhodes 25-21, 25-20 and 26-24. Freshman Zoe Wooten also came up big on defense, connecting with five blocks.
Overall, the Vikings recorded 9 aces to Rhodes' 3, 34 assists and 38 kills.
Berry won in similar fashion in match two, winning the sets 25-16, 25-18 and 25-23.
Peyton Breissinger,
Molly Bergin and
Jazzy Innis each had seven kills with Beier having 21 digs.
Sophomore
Emily Rapach recorded an incredible 21 assists, giving her 1,000 career assists overall.
Berry had 44 kills to Rhodes' 21, 41 assists and 56 digs in the win.
