Men's Lacrosse Dominant in 18-5 Home-Opening Win Over Saints

ROME, Ga. — The Berry College men's lacrosse team topped Marymount University in the team's home opener in a dominant 18-5 showing. The Vikings improved to 2-5 on the year.

Chris Berchock and Luke Koferl led the Vikings offensively, each scoring four goals apiece. Riley Brogdon earned the win in cage, recording seven saves.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

  • The Vikings surrendered an early goal, but rebounded to hold a 3-2 lead after the first quarter.
  • Berry went up 4-2 in the second, but Marymount found the back of the net twice in under 30 seconds to even the score.
  • Berry added two more to take a 6-4 lead at the half.
  • The second half was dominated by Berry. The Vikings outscored the Saints 12-1 to secure the victory.
