MOUNT BERRY, Ga. – The Vikings overcame a one hour, fifty minute weather delay to advance to the SAA semifinals over Centre 13-9 on Saturday night.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Vikings jumped out to an early lead, remaining ahead 7-3 at halftime.
- Centre kept the game close though, scoring six times in the final 30 minutes of play, but Berry's five tallies in the third quarter ensured the 13-9 victory.
- Berry bested Centre in ground balls (55-24) and face offs (19-7), while both teams added 19 clears.
- The Vikings defense was solid all night, causing 11 turnovers and holding Centre to just 29 shots.
- Four Vikings scored twice in the contest: Bailey Martin, Chris Berchock, Jason Wilhlem and Hudson Harris.
