MOUNT BERRY, Ga. – The Berry College men's lacrosse team lost to Centre College, 8-6, on Saturday afternoon.

Berry fell to 4-6 and 1-1 in the Southern Athletic Association. Centre moved to 5-3, 1-1.

Quentin Johnson and Christian Akers both scored two goals for the Vikings in the loss to lead the offense. Jason Wilhelm and Chris Berchock both picked up two points for the Vikings as well.

Akers, Andrew Elgin, and Jake Emchee all recorded assists for the Vikings.

The Vikings led 5-4 at the end of the first half. The Colonels held Berry to one goal in the second half to secure the victory.

Joe Lencewicz scored four goals for Centre.

Berry's Nick Voso collected 17 saves on the afternoon. 

Centre led in shots (41-35), ground balls (20-15) and faceoffs (10-7).

Berry will play Hendrix next Friday in Arkansas.
