Box Score Berry's Cory Hall and Nat Morey scored two goals each, but Greensboro defeated the Vikings 11-6 in a men's lacrosse game in Greensboro, N.C., Saturday.
Berry held a 4-3 lead after Grant Philips scored on an assist from Hall with nine minutes remaining in the first half, but Greensboro rattled off five consecutive goals and held the Vikings scoreless for a 29:13 stretch to take an 8-4 lead and gain the upper hand for good.
Greensboro nearly doubled Berry's shot total, outshooting the Vikings 52-27, and picked up 51 ground balls to Berry's 31. The Pride also won 14 of 19 faceoffs.
Hall also had two assists for the Vikings. Bryan Byers and Philips scored a goal apiece for Berry, while Byers and Max Smerka each passed for an assist.
Byers and Mike Voso led the Vikings with five ground balls each.
Berry goalie Jordan Boreman tallied a game high 17 saves. Greensboro's Mitchell Kanowicz finished with 12.
The Vikings are scheduled to return to action March 31, when they host Ferrum at Ford Field at 1 p.m.
