ABOUT: From Knoxville, Tennessee, Ryn is undecided in her major and enjoys shopping and spending time with her friends. She is the daughter of Jerrod and Elisabeth Gaertner and has a brother named Gavin.

HIGH SCHOOL: As a West Rebel, Ryn was named to the 3A All-District Team twice and the JVA Watchlist during her senior year. The four-year varsity star was named to the 3A All-District Tournament Team her senior year and ranks first in kills and hitting percentage in Class AAA District 3. She also served as team captain her senior year. She was also named the PrepXtra Athlete of the Week. She was a three-time AAU Academic All-American, Heisman High School Scholarship Winner, and won an IB English Award.
