ABOUT: Gavin is from Fair Oaks, Texas and the son of Stephanie Asfeld and Kevin Steele. His biggest sports influence is Scottie Scheffler, and in his free time he enjoys playing sports, Bible studies, music, and hanging out with friends.

HIGH SCHOOL: He graduated from Samuel V Champion High School, where he earned first team all-district and first team all-region honors as a member of the golf team.
