ABOUT: Cody is a native of Clearwater, Florida, and he is the son of Chris and Kristin Dawson. The engineering major enjoys hunting, fishing, playing pickleball, and working out. His superstition is that he does not bring bananas on a boat when he goes fishing because they bring bad luck. Dawson’s favorite superhero is Thor.

HIGH SCHOOL: As a Calvary Christian Warrior, Cody won numerous academic awards including the President's Award, Timothy Award, and Scholar Athlete Award. He also was a member of Mu Alpha Theta Honor Society, Rho Kappa Honor Society. Science National Honor Society, and the National Honor Society. On the athletic field, Cody was named Field MVP, was an individual district champion, regional champion, and he was Athlete of the Year. In addition to doing track and field, Dawson was a member of the football team, where he was a district champion in three consecutive years and won the Warrior Award in 2022.
