Men's Tennis Makes Fall Debut at ITA Regionals

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The Berry College men's tennis team competed at the 2026 ITA DIII Men's South Regional Championship over the weekend, hosted by Rhodes College.

Singles

In Flight A, Braden Monson was the only Viking to come away with a win in the main bracket, defeating MUW's Luis Andre Olivia in the Round of 64. In the consolation bracket, Leo Nedkov and Anderson Lambert each earned a victory in the Round of 32. Nedkov beat Covenant's Keaton Bartley and Lambert defeated Owen Fellrath of Rhodes.

Lucas Duckstein was the only Viking to compete in Flight B, putting up an impressive run in the consolation bracket. After losing his first match in the main bracket, he won back-to-back matches over Charlie Mooney and Nicholas Miloi to reach the semifinals.

Isaac Nelson made it to the Flight C1 semifinals with two impressive wins over Covenant's Leyton Hull and Joseph Hendricks of Ozarks. Lastly, Eli O'Dell won his first round match in Flight C2 over Graham Blackman of Ozarks. 

Doubles

In Flight A, Xavier Deckard and Braden Monson were the only Berry duo to pick up a win in the main bracket. They defeated Oglethorpe's Noah George and Bailey Raymond 6-3 in the Round of 32, before falling in their next match 6-0. It was the lone doubles match win for the Vikings during the weekend.

The Vikings return to action one more time this fall. They'll travel to the Piedmont Fall Classic on October 23-24 in Demorest, Georgia.
