Biography

ABOUT: Xavier is a native of Statesboro, Georgia, and he is the son of Amy Riggs and Bob Deckard, and has a sibling named Olyana. He is a biochemistry major, and he enjoys fishing, hiking, playing music, and playing basketball in his spare time. Xavier’s favorite superhero is Wolverine.

HIGH SCHOOL: Xavier graduated from Statesboro High School, where he was a member of the National Honor Society and Beta Club. He also won the 2024 Savannah State Regional Science Fair, and was a finalist presenter for the 2023 Georgia Junior Science Symposium. Athletically, Deckard was 5A-Region 1 Player of the Year in 2024 and 2025, and 912 Area Player of the Year in 2025 as well.
