Doug Elly adds three promising individuals to the 2025-2026 squad.
Lucas DucksteinÂ
Duckstein's journey to Berry originated in Manhasset, New York, and he is the son of Orion Duckstein and Heather Berest, and he has one sibling named Audrey. Lucas graduated from Manhasset High School, where he earned his way to the honor roll for three consecutive years. On the tennis court, Duckstein was All-state and All-County doubles in 2024 and 2025. He was also All-County doubles in 2023 and 2024.Â
Anderson LambertÂ
Anderson is a native of Boaz, Alabama, and he is the son of Cynthia and Peter John Lambert, and he has two siblings named Isabella and Carter. While at Berry, Lambert plans to major in chemistry. He attended Boaz High School, where he was a model student. He was named Salutatorian and graduated Suma Cum Laude. Anderson was also inducted into the National Honor Society and Mu Alpha Theta, while becoming a Distinguished Scholar. Athletically, Lambert won a total of five county championships and was a North South All-Star. He was also named Gadsen Times Player of the Year in 2024 and was an all-county performer from 2021-2025.Â
Xavier DeckardÂ
Xavier comes to Berry from Statesboro, Georgia, and he is the son of Amy Riggs and Bob Deckard, and he has a sibling named Olyana. As a Viking, Xavier plans to study biochemistry. Deckard graduated from Statesboro High School, where he made his way into the National Honor Society and Beta Club. He also won the 2024 Savannah State Regional Science fair. On the tennis court, Deckard was a 5-A Region 1 Player of the Year in 2024 and 2025 and a 912 Area Player of the Year.Â
