Tobin Sharp has been named the new assistant coach for Berry Football under head coach

Sharp joins the Vikings after serving a year at Dakota State University with the Trojans as a graduate assistant/area recruiter and camp coordinator.

Prior to Dakota State, Sharp was a position coach for three seasons at NAIA Taylor University.Â
Sharp's student-athletes saw plenty of work in 2021, teaming to average over 180.0 rushing yards per game, for Taylor's highest single-season mark in two decades. Under Sharp's watch, TU posted back-to-back games of at least 300 rushing yards, topping a mark Taylor had not reached in a single game in nearly 20 years.
Taylor continued to lean on its ground game throughout the 2022 season, averaging 177.6 rushing yards per game and eclipsing the 200-yard barrier four times.
Sharp came to Upland following an internship for recruiting and scouting with the University of Michigan football program and time as a video and draft scout for Sports Info Solutions.
Prior to those stops, Sharp played as a quarterback and tight end during his collegiate career on the gridiron at North Carolina Wesleyan College.
