The sixth inning was big for the Vikings as they put up three runs on four hits, sponsored by another homerun from Cothern, but this time a three run homerun as she continued to have a day on the Majors field.
Millspas had no chance to come back, the Vikings kept their foot on the gas and Gore was successful in the circle.
Game Two: Berry 3 - Millsaps 7
Game two was a bit of a different story as the Vikings could not carry their momentum over.
It was a standoff in the first three innings as neither team could cross the plate. Berry broke the curse in the fourth with a
Kennedy Moody double to score
Lauren Cothern. Moody scored later in the inning to go up 2-0 on the Majors.
Millsaps fought back and took all the momentum in the 6
th after tying the game at 3 runs.
The team put up a five spot in the bottom of the sixth to take a huge advantage over the Vikings who would only have one more chance at the plate. The Millsaps pitcher would get it done and close out the game for a Millsaps win.
Both teams return to the field tomorrow to finalize the series.
