Box Score ROME, Ga. - After three consecutive days of hard matches and a long away weekend playing Sewanee and Centre College, the Berry men were excited for their last home match vs. East Texas Baptist University.
The opponents came ready to play and it showed in doubles, with first doubles
Noah Koch / Leo Nedkov losing 2-6 and second doubles
Aiden Benoualid /
Jake Chapman losing 4-6. Third doubles

Bohdan Higley were able to stay close to their opponents but one late break of serve decided the match with a 3-6 loss.
Singles began with
Noah Koch at first singles accelerating the pace of play and winning in a dominant fashion, 6-3 6-2.
Jake Chapman at second was not to be outdone, and finished strong with a 6-4 6-1 victory.
Aiden Benoualid at fourth and
Bohdan Higley at fifth lost 2-6 3-6 and 1-6 3-6, respectively, against tough opponents who made few mistakes and never stepped off the accelerator.
Ethan Ellison substituted in for
Jace Goode at sixth singles, and stayed close to his opponent throughout the match in a 4-6 2-6 loss. Leo Nedkov's match at third singles was the last to finish as it went down to the wire, and with the team behind his back, he prevailed 3-6, 6-4, 6-3.
