MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Men's tennis traveled to Memphis to compete in the ITA Regionals this past weekend, where they held their own with wins against formidable opponents. 

On Friday, Aiden Benoualid and Jake Chapman got the day going with an 8-6 victory over Methodist University. Jace Goode and Léo Nedkov also won with a dominant performance over Millsaps to carry them into the next rounds. Donovan McDaniel and Ethan Ellison were also victorious over Asbury.

In singles on Friday, six Vikings picked up a win, highlighted by stellar performances from Jace Goode, Anderson Lambert, Ethan Ellison, and Eli O'Dell, Donovan McDaniel, and Jake Chapman.  

In the second round of action, both forementioned doubles squads fell despite valiant efforts from the Vikings. 

Freshmen Lucas Duckstein and Xavier Deckard won their second matchup over Maryville 8-6 in their second competition on Friday. 

On Saturday, singles competitor Isaac Nelson outlasted Oglethorpe and Asbury to pick up two victories for the Vikings.
