MOUNT BERRY, Ga. - The Berry women's soccer team took on the Trinity Tigers on Sunday afternoon in the team's second conference game of the year. The game ended in a tie at 0-0, marking the second conference tie for the Vikings on the weekend.
While the first half was largely dominated by the Tigers (7-1-3, 1-0-1 SAA) offense in time of possession, the Vikings (6-2-3, 0-0-2 SAA) managed to escape the half tied at 0-0. The Tigers recorded ten shots, while the Vikings had zero recorded shots for the half. Berry defenders
Maddie Owen,
Caroline Crimi, Annie Conners and
Olivia Bryan had a busy day, consistently clearing the ball out on their side of the field.
The second half followed some of the same script with the Tiger offense applying pressure and nearly scoring on many attempts throughout the half. Multiple shots hit the top cross bar, just narrowly missing the top of the net.
Giselle Aitken tried to provide a spark for the Viking offense in the second half by nearly scoring on multiple shots in the 65th minute but failed to put one in the net. The rest of the half finished with both sides not being able to find a goal.
Kate Hill finished with six saves on the day.Â
The Vikings' next game is Saturday, October 11 at Millsaps College at 12:00 p.m. EST., where they look to secure their first conference win of the year.
