Tennis Set for SAA Championships

MOUNT BERRY, Ga. - Berry College tennis is set to take on the 2024 Southern Athletic Association Championships this weekend.

The championships will be held in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, at the Adams Tennis Complex.

Women's Tennis earned the second seed in the tournament, giving them a buy through round one. The Vikings are set to take on the winner of Birmingham-Southern and Rhodes College on Saturday April 27 at 2:00 PM ET.

This season the women have a staggering 13-6 record with an SAA record of 6-1, only falling to Sewanee. They have appeared in the SAA Athlete of the Week Nominees three times this season and look forward to a great tournament with a strong squad.

Berry's Men's team comes into the tournament as the fifth seed and will take on Centre College on Friday, April 26 at 10:00 AM ET. The winner of that game will advance to take on the top seeded Tigers of Sewanee the following day.

Overall, the men finished the regular season with a 13-8 overall record and held a 3-4 record in conference play. 

Noah Koch has been the lone Viking named the SAA Athlete of the Week once this season and has played in the number one spot all year long.
