Box Score ROME, Ga. - In today's home match that was moved due to the possibility of rain, the Vikings were unable to find a rhythm as they fell to Asbury 6-3.
With two of Berry's top three players sidelined due to injuries, the team was feeling the pressure to fill those shoes and to step up their game. Doubles kicked off with a bang as all three teams secured victories, with second doubles of Momo Manning and Saris Mejia leading the charge with an 8-2 victory.
However, Asbury University was able to find their footing and sweep the women in the singles matches, with Olivia Walton, Sydney Coppola, and Maggie Cox going the distance with close third set tiebreaks at 2nd, 5th, and 6th singles, respectively.
Despite a final match score of 3-6, the women remain positive heading into their next match on February 23rd versus Snead State Community College.
