| By:

COLLEGE GROVE, Tenn. - The Berry College women's tennis team finished competition at the 2026 Fall ITA DIII Women's South Regional Championship, hosted by Sewanee University this weekend.

Singles

Junior Paige Evans was the only Viking to compete in the Flight A Bracket. She fell in the Round of 32 to Emory's Sara Nenkov from 6-1, 6-0, and then was eliminated with a consolation bracket loss to Ajla Selimovic of North Carolina Wesleyan.

Four Vikings competed in Flight B, with Carolina Hanson putting on a show with an impressive run through the consolation bracket. She found herself there after a Round of 32 defeat against Centre's Olivia Watson, but then won four straight matches to win third place. She defeated Skyle Spinks, her teammate Kylee Craig, Charlotte Scarborough, and then Samantha Parris in the consolation final.

Rika Manning and Sloane Vaccaro each won a match in the main bracket of Flight C, before eventually being sent down to the consolation bracket.

Doubles

The Vikings had three doubles pairs compete in Flight A. Two of the pairs went down without a win, but Evans and Hanson earned a win 8-0 against Danielle Symonds and Baylee Parnell in the Round of 32.

In Flight B of doubles play, Vaccaro and Lainey Rowe went on a consolation run of their own. They were dropped down there immediately after a 8-3 loss to Centre's Paige Hawthorne and Lucy Mitchell, but they took home a third place finish with back-to-back wins afterwards. They advanced to the consolation final on a forfeit due to injury, and then took down MUW's Alaina Mathis and Jaysa Kate Whatley 8-1.
