Berry Baseball Unveils 2025 Schedule

MOUNT BERRY, Ga. - The Berry Vikings Baseball Team is primed for another successful season, as longtime Head Coach David Beasley has unveiled the 2025 schedule.

Following a promising second-place finish in the Southern Athletic Association Regular Season, the Vikings have championship aspirations in mind for 2025. When Head Coach David Beasley was asked about those aspirations, he said "I have strong faith that our Pitching and defense should lead our team and give us a good chance to be in every game we play. I like the seasoned returning players we have returning along with a good freshman class. I hope our experience at the plate puts us in another battle for the conference batting title and competing for a conference title." The team is led by a core of experience with a staggering 8 All-SAA performers returning, including Joey Garcia, Garrett Lang, Nick Brunswick, Riley Uhls, Nicholas Angelakos, Charles Pulaski, Andrew Pendleton, and Cole Porter

The Vikings open up their season with a trip down I-75 to take on the Emory University Eagles in Atlanta on February 7. The Vikings then make their way back to Mount Berry to host a doubleheader against the Eagles on the very next day, February 8. Berry then heads to LaGrange, Georgia, for the D3 South Region Invitational with a single game against Adrian College on February 14 and doubleheaders against Pfeiffer University and LaGrange College on February 15 and 16. Following the invitational, the baseball squad returns to William R. Bowdoin Field to play against Brandeis University on February 18.

The season heats up as the Vikings journey to Kannapolis, North Carolina to play four games in four straight days as part of the 2025 D3 College Showcase. Berry will face Washington & Lee University on February 20, Swarthmore College on February 21, Pfeiffer University on February 22, and Susquehanna University on February 23. The Vikings then return home for a three-game series against Belhaven University on February 28 with a single game and March 1 with a doubleheader. In their next action, the team will stay at home to compete against Maryville College on March 4. Following that game, the Vikings travel back to LaGrange for the second of three matchups with the Panthers on March 7.

Berry will stay at home for their next couple matchups as they take on Marietta College on March 8 and 9. The team will also conclude the weekend with a final 4PM matchup against LaGrange on March 9. Non-conference play then closes with a trip to Covenant College in Lookout Mountain, Georgia, on March 11.

The SAA Conference Regular Season begins at home for the Vikings, as they battle Oglethorpe University in a 3-game series with a doubleheader on March 15 and a single game against the Stormy Petrels on March 16. Berry then takes an early break in SAA Play following the conference opener with a non-conference matchup on the road against Maryville on March 18. SAA Play resumes with the Vikings traveling to Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee to take on Rhodes College in a 3-game series with a single game on March 28 and a doubleheader on March 29. The following week, the team prepares for a showdown with another top team in the SAA in 2024, the Centre Colonels. The matchup begins in Danville, Kentucky, on April 5 with a doubleheader and concludes with a single game on April 6.

Before heading into the final stretch of the conference slate, the Vikings will host Covenant College in a rematch on April 8. Following that, the Vikings return to SAA Play with a 3-game series at home against Hendrix College with a single game on April 11 and a doubleheader on April 12. The team then hosts Millsaps College in a 3-game weekend with a single game on April 18 and a doubleheader on April 19. The season closes out with Berry seeking redemption on the road against Sewanee, whom they lost to last year in the SAA Tournament, on April 25 and April 26.
