Box Score The No.14-ranked Berry Vikings (4-3) started their stay at the Colonels Invite on a high note defeating Wittenberg in three sets (25-23, 25-19, 25-18) on Friday afternoon in Danville, Ky. Jazzy Innis hit .409 and totaled 13 kills leading the Vikings to victory.

           The Berry offense put up 14 kills in the first set, but the Tigers were able to keep the Vikings on their toes late in the set, going on a six-point run as Berry sat at 24 points. Wittenberg cut the deficit to one, but Innis ended it herself with a kill.
           The Vikings had more control over the Tigers in the second set. After going at a back and forth, and coming to a 13-13 tie, Berry jumped out to a 19-13 lead, which proved difficult for Wittenberg to come back from.
           Collectively Berry hit for .367 in the third set propelling them to the third set victory. The Tigers weren't able to keep up with the offensive pace of the Vikings. Wittenberg was also held at a 0.00 hitting percentage by the defense.

Kate Whittle and Lure Underwood both collected 11 digs each, and Lindsey MacDiarmid guided the offense with 20 assists and adding on five kills herself.

The Vikings continue play in Danville on Saturday taking on Otterbein University at 1:30 p.m. and Denison University at 4 p.m.
