MOUNT BERRY, Ga. - Vikings Equestrian had an outstanding performance at home as they placed 1st of 5 teams in a pair of IHSA western shows that was held at the Gunby Equine Center on Saturday and Sunday.
Saturday
Berry finished High Point Team with 32 points, with Mississippi State following with 29 points. Riders Autumn Lance, Axa Stevens, and newcomer Amelia Wilt rode to a first-place finish in their events along with Catie Thompson, who qualified for Regionals in the Rookie division.

The team finished 1st again with 34 points on Sunday, besting MSU's 27 points. Autumn Lance and Rette Solomon showed out again with 1st place finishes, and Brooke Backlund followed suit while Taylor McIntosh qualified for Regionals individually in Level I horsemanship.

Autumn Lance was High Point Rider once again with a 1st and 2nd place finish. Brooke Backlund was Reserve High Point Rider.
