MOUNT BERRY, Ga. - Berry College drew 2-2 against Birmingham Southern College Sunday afternoon at Bob Pearson Field.
Dylan Bloch started the first half for the Vikings with a goal on the low right within the first nine minutes of the half. Five minutes later, the Panther's midfielder equaled the score to 1-1.
Berry kicked off the second half, but the game switched momentum as Birmingham Southern's forward scored a goal from the low right side of the box. With the Panthers in the lead by one, the Vikings send off their defenders toward the Panthers. The Vikings regained possession with an attempt to add one more goal for the Vikings.
Charlie Stokes rushed into the center and shot from the halfway line, but the defender's shot was too high. Nevertheless, the Vikings kept on pushing. Berry's forward

Jason Wong Lopez, and
Andy Guzman led the Vikings with outstanding defense. 30 minutes later, Wong Lopez took advantage of a penalty kick and had a shot on goal but was saved by the Panther's goalie.
The match's intensity peaked in the last three minutes of the half as Berry scored the equalizer goal from a penalty kick taken by
Jacob Antoine from the low center of the box. The Vikings rushed through the sideline to celebrate the senior's goal. Despite the 2-2 tie against Birmingham Southern, the Vikings accumulated nine shots on goals and led in possession.
The Vikings will now hit the road to take on Hendrix College on Friday in Conway, Ark. Â
