MOUNT BERRY, Ga.- The No. 24-ranked Berry Vikings defeated Millsaps 64-7 at Valhalla Stadium in a Southern Athletic Association showdown on Saturday night. The offense put up 398 total rushing yards on the night, and averaged 7.2 yards per play.

Brandon Cade got the Vikings on the board first with a four-yard rush into the endzone, thanks to a big
Deiondre Wilson catch. Berry completed a two-point conversion to make it 8-0. On the next drive, Millsaps faced a third and three situation, which resulted in a fumble recovered by defensive lineman,
Kuannas Walker and took it in for a 23-yard touchdown firing up Valhalla stadium.
           During the second quarter the Berry offense scored 34 points, and averaged 15 yards per play. Cade and Sikes carried the rock for back to back touchdowns from the Vikings, the two combined for 156 yards in the second quarter. With five minutes remaining in the half,
Blake Hembree found Kharmi Smith 55 yards down the field to add another six points on the board, pushing the lead to 36-7.
           The Viking defense got in the action as
John Mancuso added a 31-yard pick six onto the scoreboard. The defense completely shutdown the Majors offense when Luke Carrlton recovered a fumble at midfield. On the next play, Hembree handed the ball to
Bryce Herring who sprinted for a 51-yard touchdown to close out the scoring for the first half, Berry led 50-7.
           Coming out of the locker room,
Nick Best set up the Vikings at the goaline with a 16-yard rush, allowing
Blade Bryant to punch it in for the first touchdown of the second half.
           Quarterback
Christian Lewis scored the ninth and final touchdown of the night for Berry, connecting with Aiden Moore for a 40-yards.
Berry continued to be relentless into the fourth quarter coming up with two interceptions on back to back drives.
Chaz Pope and
Carson Lathem both came up with the big plays for Berry to end the night.

The Vikings will be back in action on the road on Saturday, heading up to Sewanee to continue SAA play. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m. EDT
