Box Score MOUNT BERRY, Ga. - Berry College Vikings (15-4, 9-0 SAA) defeated the Sewanee Tigers on Friday the Southern Athletic Association play, 3-0 (25-16, 25-20, 25-21) to keep the Vikings record perfect in SAA play.
The Vikings took control of the ball early on and were able to capitalize on the errors from the Tigers to take the first set of the night 25-16.
The second set went back and forth until the Vikings sealed the deal with four consecutive kills to end it. Jazzy Innis and Olivia Mallow combined for four consecutive kills to finsh the set.
The Vikings took the lead early on in the third set 13-6. The game ended with a kill from the middle blocker Mallow. Mallow played a significant role in tonight's win, she and Bella Boston totaled 12 kills each on the night.
Boston double-doubled putting up 12 kills and 17 digs. Lindsay MacDiarmid had a solid performance with 32 assists.
The Vikings will return to action on Saturday to take on Centre at 3 p.m. in the Cage Center in SAA play.
