Berry's men's tennis team fell to Millsaps College in Jackson, Miss. by score of 7-2 Sunday in Southern Athletic Association play.
The loss puts Berry at 4-10 overall and 1-4 in the conference.
The Vikings opened up play with a close matchup in line one of the doubles competition.
Kyle Lutian and
Connor Murphy would fall in the matchup 8-7 (8)
The men's team would get their first win in line four of the singles competition, with
Fant Smith putting on a clinic in his first set with a score of 6-1. The second set was closer in score, but Smith pulled
out the win with a score of 7-5.
Carsten Balao also played in a close match in line six of the singles matches. Balao played a close first set (7-5), but came back in the second set with a strong win of 6-3.
The Vikings will be back at home against the University of the South on April 23. The first match is set to begin at 12:00 p.m.
