ROME, Ga. — The Berry College women's tennis team closed a busy weekend at the Rome Tennis Center 2-1, pushing their overall record to 2-2.
The Vikings opened with a doubleheader on Saturday against SCAD (ATL) and Clark Atlanta. Berry fell to SCAD 6-3 with Allison Ivey and Sakura Manning claiming wins in singles. The doubles pairing of Kathryn Barker and Keileen Cullen also secured a win.
Against Clark Atlanta, Berry earned a tight 5-4 victory with a pair of doubles wins from Ivey/Anna Skowronski and Manning/Karleigh Dills securing the victory. Berry went even in singles competition.
To close the weekend, Berry claimed a strong 6-3 win over NCAA DIII rival Transylvania. The Vikings dominated singles competition, claiming wins from Ivey, Sara Myers, Faith Van Rengen, Skowronski and Manning.
Berry travels to Hilton Head, S.C. next week for the team's spring break trip.
