Box Score 1 | Box Score 2

ROME, Ga.Ben Coker tossed 6.0 scoreless innings, fanning a career-high nine batters on Saturday afternoon, helping the Vikings to a doubleheader split to close out the Rawlings Southern Classic.

Coker earned the win in game one as the Vikings topped Greenville 6-1. Berry dropped the second game to Greensboro 6-0. The Vikings now sit at 4-2 overall heading into Tuesday's matchup with Emory.

Coker's strong outing gave the Berry bats an opportunity against the Panthers. Berry jumped out to a 5-0 lead after four innings thanks to a pair of passed balls and RBI singles from Jon Hemings, Justin Carr and Dalton Smith. Greenville's Joe Wood broke up the shutout in the seventh inning with an RBI double.

Berry's bats were held in check in game two, thanks to a 9.0 inning shutout from Greensboro's Parker Strader. Berry only tallied four hits as Spence Johns took his first tough-luck loss on the hill, tossing 5.0 innings allowing just one earned run and striking out six.

Berry hosts Emory on Tuesday at 6:00 p.m.
