ROME, Ga. — The Berry College baseball team fell to 12-6 on the year as they dropped an out-of-conference contest to Adrian College on Friday afternoon 12-1. The loss snapped the Vikings' five-game winning streak.
Ben Coker took his first loss of the year, tossing 6.0 innings allowing five earned runs.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Adrian College got off to a quick start, scoring three runs in the second inning to take a 3-0 lead.
- The Bulldogs added runs in the third and fourth innings to stretch the lead to 5-0
- Adrian then put up a run in the sixth and three in the seventh to extend its lead to 9-0
- The Vikings pushed across a run in the eighth inning, when Devin Post singled home Gavin Booker
- Adrian would finish out strong however, scoring three runs in route to a 12-1 victory
