Box Score DANVILLE, Ky. — The No. 10 Berry College volleyball team earned a 3-1 victory at Centre on Saturday, earning a 12-2 record in conference play. The win locks up the No. 2 seed for the Vikings in the Southern Athletic Association (SAA) Tournament.
Berry is now 21-4 overall. Centre fell to 6-15 and 3-10 in SAA play. Birmingham-Southern locked up at least a share of the SAA regular season title and hosting rights for the SAA tournament on Nov. 8-10 today with a 3-0 win over Hendrix.
Peyton Breissinger led the team offensively, recording a career-high 16 kills. She also posted a .333 attack percentage and 18 digs. As a team, Berry earned 14 blocks and hit .182. The Vikings claimed set one 25-22 and set two 25-17. Centre extended the match in the third, winning 28-26, but Berry secured the win in the final set 25-22.
The team will travel to Atlanta for the Emory National Invitational on Nov. 1-2.
