Box Score ATLANTA — The Berry College women's soccer team earned a double-overtime victory at Oglethorpe University on Saturday courtesy of a game-winner from Emma Kochanowski.
Berry improved to 8-6-2 overall and 3-3-1 in league play. Oglethorpe fell to 9-7-0 and 1-6-0 in conference.
The Vikings were relentless offensively in the match, firing 30 total shots and putting 17 on frame. Oglethorpe's Lindsey Bolas earned 14 saves and the Stormy Petrels also earned a pair of team saves to force the game to overtime. Kochanowski's game-winner came in the 105th minute to secure the win. The team also earned six total corner kicks without surrendering one to the Stormy Petrels.
With the win, the Vikings likely lock up the No. 5 seed in the SAA tournament, although full brackets will be released early next week.
