ATLANTA — The Berry College men's soccer team closed the regular season on Saturday with a 4-0 loss at top-ranked Oglethorpe University.

Berry closes conference play 2-4-1 while Oglethorpe improved to 7-0-0. Official brackets will be released early in the week, but the Vikings will likely be announced as the No. 4 seed in the Southern Athletic Association (SAA) tournament and host Birmingham-Southern in the opening round on Nov. 2. 

Oglethorpe controlled the pace, firing 17 shots to Berry's nine. They opened scoring in the 27th minute off a free kick before another goal in the 42nd minute. They tallied again in the 56th minute before their fourth goal of the night in the 79th minute. Berry earned three corner kicks.
