Box Score MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The Berry College women's soccer team dropped a road contest at Rhodes College on Sunday 2-0.
With the loss, Berry falls to 7-6-2 overall and 2-3-1 in league play. Rhodes improved on its impressive record at 10-5-0 and 4-2-0 in conference.
Rhodes jumped out to a 2-0 lead quickly, scoring in the 13th and 14th minutes off goals from Alli Cundiff and Liz Vega. Berry fired just eight total shots, putting three on frame. Rhodes got off 20 shots and did not allow a Berry corner kick. Maggie Jones took the loss in goal for Berry, playing the first half, surrendering both goals but earning six saves. Alyssa Stevens earned five saves in the second half.
Berry will close the regular season at Oglethorpe on Oct. 26.
