TUCSON, Ariz. — Facing some of the top competition in NCAA Division III, the No. 24 Berry College softball team returned from the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Leadoff Classic 5-1 on the week.

On Friday, Berry bested both Rochester (N.Y.) and St. Thomas (Minn.) 6-2 and 12-2, respectively. The Vikings then split their Saturday matchups against No. 5 Ill. Wesleyan and No. 9 Texas Lutheran. Berry topped Ill. Wesleyan 21-4 before falling to the Bulldogs 9-7. Berry closed their trip on Sunday with victories over Fontbonne (10-1) and Manhattanville (7-0).

Berry's Bayleigh Masterson was also selected to the All-Tournament Team.

The Vikings now sit at 16-3 on the year. More details to follow.
