ATLANTA — The Berry College volleyball team improved to 12-2 on the year and 8-0 in the Southern Athletic Association (SAA) after a straight-set sweep of Oglethorpe University on Wednesday night.
Berry has now won 25-straight regular-season matches against SAA opponents.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Vikings were in control through the entirety of the match, winning 25-17, 25-23 and 25-17
- Despite the Oglethorpe lead (23-22) in a tight second set, the Vikings secured the set with three straight points at the end.
- Berry finished with .337 hitting percentage over the course of the match, while Oglethorpe hit .182.
- Overall, the Vikings also recorded six service aces
